Tour Description

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and take a ferry or sea bus (fast ferry) to go to the islands. During the Byzantine period, princes and other royalties were exiled on the islands, and later the Ottoman sultans family were exiled there too, giving the islands their present name. Buyukada is the largest one of the islands. There are some historical buildings such as Aya Yorgi Church and Monastery, Prinkipo Greek Orthodox Orphanage, Ayios Dimitrios Church, Hristos Church and Monastery, and Hamidiye Mosque. As on the other eight islands, motorized vehicles  are forbidden so residents and visitors ride bicycles or more commonly take a horse and carriage to travel around the island.

In the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
